November
Release year: 2012 $13.00 (shipping included)
"November" is the 7th full length studio release from Lehto & Wright. This outing continues to showcase the band's instrumental prowess with Irish Tune Sets while exploring the American song book as well. "Tom Joad," a Woodie Guthrie classic, is given a 9 1/2 minute workout while a Bob Dylan deep cut "Lay Down Your Weary Tune" is also given a Lehto & Wright twist. Our neighbors to the south are not to be excluded with an amped up version of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" presented also. English Folk and Progressive rock are represented in full with an arrangement of "Dominion of the Sword" influenced by Martin Carthys recording of the same, here with all the Progressive Rock styling that Lehto & Wright are know for. Last but not least the fan favorite "Shenandoah" makes a re-appearance from its earlier release on a EP of the same name in 2011. "November" demonstrates Lehto & Wright's continuing forward momentum in their Folk and Folk Rock exploration.

The Further Adventures of Darling Cory
Release year: 2002 $13.00 (shipping included)
This is the second effort from "Lehto and Wright." With a busy live gig schedule developing, the band was finding and arranging more traditional music to their liking. This release would include a fair helping of music with American roots including the song "Darling Cory," a highly electrified piece influenced by the seminal folk pioneers "The Weavers" version of the same. Also on this recording is an arrangement of Pete Seeger’s classic "Waist Deep in the Big Muddy" complete with distorted electric guitars perfected by Steve Lehto. There are also several extended tune sets of Irish and English origin as Lehto and Wright continued to develop their repertoire in that arena.

Ye Mariners All
Release year: 2000 $13.00 (shipping included)
This is the debut release from Lehto and Wright. In late 1998 John Wright, Steve Lehto and Matt Jacobs started rehearsals for what was going to be another John Wright solo recording. As time progressed John and Steve began working on the music with just a couple of acoustic guitars and began to develop what would become an essential part of the Lehto and Wright sound. With creative input from Steve it became clear that this was very much a collaborative effort and so the band was formed. After much debate and at the height of a creative fit it was decided that the group would be called "Lehto and Wright." Their first ever show was at a small restaurant in Wayzata, Minnesota. As they continued to play live they developed the music for "Ye mariners All" and subsequent releases to follow. Clocking in at over 10 minutes, the title track would set the template for Lehto and Wrights unique formula of traditional music fused with progressive rock elements. Influences the likes of King Crimson, Pete Seeger, Fairport Convention and Nick Drake (to name a few) are all evident on Ye Mariners All with more to come. The lead off track, "Four Drunken Maidens," continues to be a fan favorite today.

At Cross Purposes
Release year: 1996 $13.00 (shipping included)
This is John Wright's first outing of a official recording with his name on it. From early 1991 he had been working as a independent producer/engineer in various studios in the Minneapolis area. He began to record various pieces of music that he had been writing, both vocal and instrumental. These recordings were executed with no particular goal or official release in mind, however they were an effort to capture the music that was in his head on tape. Assisting him in this endeavor were future Lehto and Wright band mates Matt Jacobs (Drums and Percussion) and Steve Lehto (Electric Guitar). The result is an eclectic collection of Jazz Fusion and Folk which would be a sign post for his future musical explorations.
